Bean's First Trick-or-Treat Adventure

As you know Wednesday was Halloween! Bean's first Halloween she was 5.5 months old, and my nerdy self dressed her up as an ewok (ya know, Star Wars?). I threw a bow on her head cause everyone kept calling her a boy. Apparently ewoks are masculine, I always thought they were androgynous. Whatever. She was SUPER cute.

This year being a toddler who eats solid foods we decided to dress her up and let her go trick or treating at the seven houses across the street from us. (Our street is still being developed in our neighbor.) Of course I had to think of something adorable for her to wear. After much debating, I went with Audrey Hepburn from Breakfast At Tiffany's! You know, the long black dress, tiara, pearls, etc. I had to make it a step more adorable and I made her a tutu to wear for her bottom half.

How adorable is this costume?!

So we went trick or treating super early since my husband had to work Halloween night, and we wanted to both be able to go with Bean for her very first Halloween outing. I'm so glad we did it as a family, because once she realized what was going on she had a blast!

What did you kids dress up as? If you have a link to a post about it please leave it in the comments so I can check it out!

  1. My three-year-old neice dressed up as Audrey Hepburn too! My SIL made the costume after seeing one on Pinterest, and I had never heard of such a costume, so to see two in one year is amazing! Bean's costume turned out super cute too! My little girl went as Minnie Mouse, but I didn't blog about it.

  5. So so so sweet! Love the Audrey costume. We had a few costumes for different events (including a koala & tree and hikers), but for Halloween itself my son was Captain Jack Sparrow - and his trike as the black pearl. We had a blast!
