Stocking Stuffer Ideas For Toddlers

As the holiday season approaches I feel like it's our first *real* holiday with Bean. Last Christmas she was 7 months, and didn't really know what was going on. Granted, she still doesn't truly know what's happening but she'll be much more aware of the Christmas tree, decorations, and the presents! I'm actually really excited to see how she handles the holidays this year.

If you haven't figured it out already, I am a super planner. I started a list of present ideas for family members about two months ago. Part of it is because I start buying in October so it's not such a hit to my wallet, but most of it is because I like to take the time to rethink presents, get new ideas, etc blah blah blah.

Recently I've begun to start thinking of stocking stuffer ideas for Bean. I think I've come up with a really good list, that's not all toys, and not all candy. Actually, it's no candy because I'm sure my husband will put sweets in mine and she'll steal those from me - as she does with all my food haha.

Stockings/Socks/leg warmers
Help get them through the cold season. Just make sure they're fun, exciting prints!

LittlePeople Toys
This year I'm putting some Zoo Talkers like this tiger in Bean's stocking. But they have cars too, like policeman, batman themed, etc. Or you could get them just the figurines to play with, there's Disney princesses, batman, Toy Story, and more! Tons of ideas to stuff with.

Wallets
Put your old wallet, or go buy a cheap one from Target. Fill it up with store cards you don't use, or empty gift cards. Lets your little one work on their fine motor skills by taking the cards in and out, and at this age playing is learning. Not to mention mimicking is a BIG way to play and learn.

Bathtub Crayons
Lets them explore their creative side somewhere new, in the tub! Every kid wants to doodle on the walls, this lets them fill that urge and is easy to clean off.

Magnetic Letters
Let you work with colors, letters, and words when your little one is ready for them. Not to mention it will help develop fine motor skills. We already have them, and they are great for distracting Bean while I do the dishes.

Dress Up Accessories
Always a hit! Wigs, gaudy necklaces, tiaras, Mickey ears, fancy shoes, whatever you can get to fit.

Books
Always a good go to gift, no matter the occasion or age. I love board books so Bean can toss, flip, "read" them and I don't have to worry about her ripping the pages out.

Flashlight
Brings out their imagination. Plus its always good to have flashlights around the house.

Glowsticks
More playtime in the dark to boost creativity.

Monster Spray
This is a DIY present for your little one who is worried about things under the bed or in the closet. Put water in a spray bottle, add a small amount of glitter or a scent to make it smell nice if you'd like, and slap on a label that says Monster Spray. Then they (or you) can spray it in the monster infested area to keep the scary guys away all night long. Proven to work!

Musical Toys
Like a rainmaker, triangle, or maracas. OR if your really patient, a kazoo.

New Cups & Utensils
Either a straw cup, or a thermos. Whatever kind of cup you like. Themed ones, Dora, Pirates or Princesses for example are a bigger hit than plain ones. Same goes for utensils.

Piggy Paint
Natural, non toxic nail polish that is 100% safe to use on the tiniest baby, yes even a new born. Plus they come in so many cute colors! (I haven't personally used them, but my friend has and her toddler toes looked awesome. I'm definitely grabbing a color or two for Bean for her stocking.)

Temporary Tattoos
Who doesn't love these things? There are hand puppet ones, pirates, flowers, and more! You name it, I'm sure you can find a temp. tattoo for it.

Kaleidoscope
Need I say more? I loved these things as a kid!

Faucet Extenders
Potty training? These are a must have for little hands! Makes the water easier to reach so they can wash their little hands just like a big kid.

Well there's a quick list of ideas for your toddler's stocking! Of course there are plenty of other things you could use. If you have any great ideas to share feel free to comment with them!
