Packing Peanuts Surprise Box

This was something I quickly pulled together for Bean a few weeks ago, and it was a major hit! Well, until my husband saw the amount of clean up hahaha.

Super easy to do! I filled a big box with packing peanuts, and surprise objects inside. Any type of objects, ones she could use to play with the peanuts, and others that were just random items. I put in a plastic cup, a small fish net, toy cars, a hair comb, and other random baubles.

The packing peanuts got her excited, but once Bean realized there were items hidden in there is when the real fun, and learning by playing began. With all the discovering, putting in, taking out, throwing, static cling... it was an endless sea of sensory fun! Bean played with it, by herself, for close to two hours. I just sat back, laughed, and took a lot of pictures to remember this fun day. I definitely recommend doing this with your little ones, it's worth the tedious clean up.

  1. Ha! You are a much better mom than I! We have a box with peanuts sitting in the guest room and I'm determined not to get them everywhere. Perhaps I'll use your post as inspiration.
