GMG: Week 2, Day 1

So today starts the second week of the Summer Session of Good Morning Girls, Proverbs 31. Here are the two verses we're supposed to read, and pray about today.

A worthy woman who can find? For her price is far above rubies. (Proverbs 31:10 ASV)

A worthy woman is the crown of her husband; But she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones. (Proverbs 12:4 ASV)

And here's part of what today's page in the ebook says..
"In order to become like the Proverbs 31 woman, we must humble ourselves and see our flaws. We must be willing to change some things – our attitudes, our thought patterns, our work ethic, our words, and what we spend our time on. But by God’s grace, you can become a woman of noble character! So for today, begin by evaluating yourself against the list above. Which character quality are you weak in? Pray and ask God for the strength to change!"

If you want the list, I suggest you head over to GMG and sign up to get involved with this "project".

There are plenty of things that I've been working on before I started this session, and since starting I have added to the list a few items. I need to get better about keeping up with my home. I get do involved with my daughter that the housework gets forgotten, and I know I need to step up my game on that aspect. I've gotten much better about judging others, and understanding where they're coming from when I don't like how they are treating my family. I need to improve, however, on praying for them. I have also gotten tons better about being "plugged in" although there is still plenty of room for improvement.

I believe that my husband values me over rubies, and all the other finer things in life. But I want to believe that I am worth more to my family than rubies would be. Right now I do not feel like that is the case. I'm not saying I'm worthless, so please don't read that wrong. I definitely think that I could be doing more for them though. It's time to step up my momma and wife game! I want to be in the All Stars!
